Are you an organized professional with a keen eye for detail? Heineken Beverages is looking for a dedicated Inventory Clerk to join their Supply Chain team at the Wadeville Distribution Centre.
As part of a global leader in the beverage industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that stock is planned, tracked, and managed efficiently to keep customers happy and production moving.
Job Purpose
Based in Germiston, you will report to the Service Centre Supervisor and manage daily inventory tasks, from stock planning to quality control. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability and maintaining the “First-In-First-Out” (FIFO) principle to reduce waste and losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Planning: Monitor daily depot stock levels and liaise with the Planning department to resolve any stock-outs.
- Inventory Procedures: Lead and participate in physical stock counts and assist with issuing and receiving shipments on SAP.
- Quality & Risk Control: Conduct routine inspections of outer packaging and ensure all stock movements follow strict audit and stacking height protocols.
- Route Settlement: Process driver and customer corrections, resolve missing invoices, and ensure all variances are accurately recorded.
- Administration: Manage stock age concessions, resolve customer and transporter queries, and ensure adherence to ISO and Internal Control measures.
Requirements & Attributes
- Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Wadeville, Germiston.
- Skills: Strong numerical ability and proficiency in stock management systems (Experience with SAP is a major advantage).
- Work Ethic: Ability to work within a fast-paced supply chain environment and handle customer complaints efficiently.
- Compliance: A solid understanding of ISO requirements and Operational Excellence standards.
- Eligibility: Must be fully eligible to work in South Africa.
