The Purpose of the Role
The Inventory Administrator is responsible for managing “short supplied” parcels. In the world of medicine, delays can affect health—your job is to ensure that when stock is missing, it is ordered immediately and the patient is kept informed. You will act as the bridge between the Buyer, the dispensary, and the customer.
Key Job Objectives
- Stock Management: Effectively manage short-supplied parcels by ensuring missing stock is promptly ordered by the Procurement team.
- Order Tracking: Manage incoming stock for “to-follow” orders to ensure the correct medication is dispensed and delivered to patients without further delay.
- Reporting & Accuracy: Complete detailed reports for the Service Centre scorecard to measure performance against delivery targets.
- Customer Communication: Proactively contact patients via call or SMS to provide updates if their medication is delayed or unavailable.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12/Matric).
- Experience: * At least 1 year in a pharmaceutical stock environment (Warehouse or Distribution Centre).
- 1 year experience within a retail pharmacy environment.
- 1 year experience in Supply Chain operations.
- Essential Skills: Strong numerical ability and professional communication skills.
- Competencies: Must be able to follow strict instructions/procedures and deliver results under pressure.
